I’ve shared before that I’m not really trying to replace the grocery store with my garden. I just love how growing a few simple things can completely elevate the flavors in your kitchen!

One of the easiest things I make from my garden every year is an all purpose seasoning blend using thyme, rosemary, sage, and salt. It makes roasted vegetables, potatoes, chicken, soups, focaccia, and even scrambled eggs taste so much better without needing a bunch of ingredients.

Here’s the exact blend I make:
• 1/3 cup dried rosemary
• 1/3 cup dried thyme
• 1/3 cup dried sage
• 1 cup sea salt - I love using Baja Gold

I hang dry the herbs first, then pulse everything together a few times in the blender or crush everything using a mortar and pestle if I want to keep it more coarse. I keep it in a pint sized mason jar next to the stove and use it constantly.

The crazy part is how “fancy” food starts tasting from a few herbs that are honestly really easy to grow here.

If you’ve been wanting to start a small herb garden, I currently have thyme, rosemary, sage, dill, Italian basil, Holy basil, parsley, mint, starts available at the farm stand along with over 30 varieties of various garden plants from - squash, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and more.
